Town Of Saints – dritter Act beim Fever Creek Intermezzo – ist eine umtriebige Band: Zwar geben die drei Mitglieder das niederländische Groningen als ihre Heimatstadt an, aber eigentlich sind sie mehr unterwegs als zuhause. In Westeuropa kennen sie sich bestens aus, hat doch alles mit Straßenmusik angefangen. Mittlerweile sind Harmen Ridderbos (Sänger/Gitarre), Heta Salkolahti (Sängerin/Violine) und Sietse Ros (Schlagzeug) mit ihrem Indie Folk gefragte Musiker. Sie spielten gleich sieben Gigs auf dem diesjährigen Eurosonic-Festival. Mehr über Town Of Saints erfahrt ihr in unserem Porträt!

Town Of Saints – third act at Fever Creek Intermezzo – is a bustling band: The three members have their home in Groningen, the Netherlands, but are never really home that often. In Western Europe they know their way around very well - after all the group started with street music. Meanwhile, Harmen Ridderbos (singer/guitar), Heta Salkolahti (singer/violin) and Sietse Ros (drums) are sought after Indie Folk musicians. Für den perfekten Abschluss des ersten Fever Creek Festivals am 31. August haben wir euch ein aufregendes Dj-Set zusammengestellt. Pauline Våg und re-fuse, zwei Newcomer der Berliner Nachtszene, übernehmen nach den Konzerten im Antje Øklesund die Musikhoheit und tischen euch elektronische Leckerbissen auf. Ihr Spektrum reicht von House bis Drum and Bass. Los geht’s um circa 0:30 Uhr.

For a splendid ending of the first Fever Creek Festival on the 31th of August we arranged a thrilling DJ-set for you. Two newcomers of the Berlin night scene, Pauline Våg and re-fuse, will take the lead over music after the concerts at the Antje Øklesund and will present to you electronic dainties. Their musical scope ranges from House to Drum and Bass. Starting point is around 12:30 a.m.

Skiing joins us!

Nun steht auch unsere letzte Festivalband fest. Sie hört auf den Namen Skiing und wartet mit vier jungen Männern auf, die beeinflusst von Fünfziger Jahre Rock’n’Roll, Queercore und Punk, über alles singen, was sie bewegt: Poesie, Kunst, Gay Identity, Familie, aber auch politische Ideologien und schlecht bezahlte Jobs. Ausführliches über die Band wie auch Hörproben findet ihr hier.

Finally our last act is chosen. Four guys that go by the name Skiing are going to play a set that is influenced by 50ties Rock’n’Roll, Queercore and Punk. They sing about almost everything that bothers their minds: poetry, art, gay identity, family, but also political ideologies and ill-paid jobs. Neugierde ist einer der Antriebsmotoren des Fever Creek Festivals. Wir wollen neben etablierten Bands auch unbekannte Talente aus Folk, Blues und Garage entdecken und unterstützen. Und dafür scheint kein Ort besser geeignet als Berlin, das Musiker aus aller Welt anzieht. Aufgehorcht haben wir bei Steve. Das Riot Girl Duo mit österreichischen Wurzeln rockte bislang nur den eigenen Proberaum. Beim Fever Creek Festival werden Gitarristin Eva und Schlagzeugerin Steffi erstmals auftreten. Sie spielen am 30. August ein kleines Set im Zosch.

Curiosity is one of the driving forces behind the Fever Creek Festival. Next to well established bands out of the Folk, Blues and Garage scene, we want to discover and support new talents. For this we think that there is no better place on earth like Berlin that attracts musicians from all over the world. The act Steve got our attention. This Riot Girl Duo with Austrian roots played until now just inside their rehearsal room and their first time on stage will be at the Fever Creek Festival. Guitarist Eva and drummer Steffi will play a small set on August the 30th at the Zosch.

Folk Explosion with Vincent Long

Das Fever Creek Festival hat mit Vincent Long einen neuen Musiker für sein Samstagabendprogramm gewonnen. Er wird am 31. August im Antje Øklesund mit der Band The Convincers für Folk-Stimmung sorgen und Songs von seinem kürzlich erschienenen Debütalbum “Tales with a Tail” vorstellen.

Fever Creek Festival has won musician Vincent Long for its Saturday night program. On 31th of August, he will create a folk atmosphere with his band The Convincers at Antje Øklesund and introduce songs from his recently released debut album “Tales with a Tail”.

Die Seite des Fever Creek Festivals ist Online und wir freuen uns, dass Ihr hier seid! Das Fever Creek Festival ist ein kleines Festival für Folk, Country, Blues und Garage Rock. Es findet dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal am 30. und 31. August statt. Gespielt wird an zwei verschiedenen Orten in der Stadt. Ihr dürft gespannt sein. Genauso, was unser Line-up angeht. Die ersten Bands haben wir hier schon veröffentlicht. So zum Beispiel The Violent Years, die sich aus einem kleinen Dorf in Norwegen auf den Weg nach Berlin begeben werden, um beim Fever Creek Festival spielen. Oder die Anti-Folker von The Bribe and the Mockery, die mit ihren minimalisten Sounds Ausschnitte des Berliner Lebens besingen. Weitere Bands kommen demnächst. Schaut einfach mal wieder vorbei.

Finally, our webpage is online – here we are and we are happy that you found your way to us. The Fever Creek Festival is a small festival for Folk, Country, Blues and Garage Rock. It is going to premier this year on the 30th/31th of August as a two-day event at two different places in Berlin. Our line-up is as handpicked as our locations are. The Violent Years for example are coming from a small village in Norway to Berlin just to play at our little festival. The anti-folk musicians of The Bribe and the Mockery will sing about pieces of the life in Berlin accompanied by minimalistic sounds. There are more bands to come – stay tuned and just check our website from time to time.
