Schon beim Fever Creek Festival 2014 verliebten wir uns ins Marie-Antoinette, bietet doch keine Konzertlocation solch einen phänomenalen Blick auf die Spree. So fiel auch dieses Jahr die Wahl auf den Club in Berlin Mitte für den Freitagabend, ganz im Zeichen von Country, Folk Rock und Garage. Am Samstag folgte der ruhigere Abschluss mit Singer/Songwritern in der Moabiter Bar Kallasch&.  Ein besonderes Bonbon dieses Jahr war der Fever Creek Pop-up Record Store, den wir an zwei Tagen aufgebaut haben. Zu kaufen gab es die neuesten Platten von Künstlern, die in der Vergangenheit bei uns aufgetreten sind.

Als erster Act des Fever Creek Festivals 2015 steht The Hans mit seiner charmanten One-Man-Show pünktlich zu Sonnenuntergang auf der Bühne. Das Publikum gehört ihm. Dank seiner kreativen Art Musik zu machen, der Ironie der Songtexte und seiner äußerst unterhaltsamen Kommentare fängt der Berliner mit seiner Gitarre Peggy die Gäste sofort ein und bringt sie zum Lachen.

In diese gute Stimmung steigt Bannerman mit ihrer Mischung aus Country, Folk und Indie ein. Ein wenig pathetisch, ein wenig emotional bewegend, auf jeden Fall mitreißend – so präsentiert sich die einst von Richie Setford in Neuseeland gegründete Formation. Seine alles durchdringende Stimme erinnert an Nick Cave. Die Band spielt ein brillantes, in sich stimmiges Set. Auch die dritte Band des Abends, Cannery Terror aus Frankreich, kann das Publikum einfangen. Die Frontfrauen Clara und Roxane bringen einen positiven, begeisternden Garage-Sound auf die Bühne, der das Publikum im Marie-Antoinette zum Tanzen bringt.

Nach dem Konzertteil des Abends ebbt die Stimmung nicht ab. Viele der Gäste und die Bands bleiben noch bis in die frühen Morgenstunden und feiern zu den Tunes von DJ Basteln, der schon beim Fever Creek Intermezzo mit seinen Künsten überzeugte.

Nach der langen After-Show Party geht es am nächsten Tag weiter. Die Wohnzimmmer-Location Kallash& ist perfekt, um in einen Sessel gelümmelt, der Musik von D.Cooper und River of Gennargentu zu lauschen. Den Anfang machte D.Cooper aus Berlin mit seichten Country-Folk, der einen an lange Autofahrten durch faszinierende Naturlandschaften erinnert. River of Gennargentu aus Sardinien greift diese Atmosphäre auf. Sein Blues begeistert und zieht einen auf ähnliche Weise in seinen Bann. Die Zuschauer versinken in ihren Sesseln und driften mit ihm dahin, in eine schöne Welt voller Klang und Poesie. Ein gelungener Abschluss des Fever Creek Festivals 2015.

We fell already in love with the Marie-Antoinette at the Fever Creek Festival 2014, as there is no other concert location that offers such a phenomenal view on the Spree river. So we choose again the club in the centre of Berlin for the first festial day Friday, an evening that focus on Country, Folk Rock and Garage. Saturday is composed as a more relaxing evening with Singer/Songwriter as well as Blues artists at the Kallasch& in Moabit. Special treat this year: the Fever Creek Pop-up Record Store. On both festivals days we offered you the latest records of artists who played at the festival.

The first act of the Fever Creek Festival 2015 is The Hans with his charming One-Man-Show that started immediately after the sunset. The Berliner ownes the audience. Thanks to his creative way of making music, the irony of the lyrics and his very entertaining comments he and his guitar Peggy are able to capture the guests immediately and to make them smile.

Bannerman comes into this good athmosphere with his Country, Folk and Indie sound. A little bit of pathos, a little bit of emotionally moving, in any case seductive – this is how the by Richie Setford in New Zealand founded band presents itself on stage. His all penetrating voice reminds the listener of Nick Cave. The band plays a brilliant coherent set.

Also the third act of the evening, Cannery Terror from France, is able to capture the audience. The band around Clara and Roxane gets everyone to dance with their positive, enthralling Garage Sound.

Later on, the good mood doesn’t fade. A lot of the guests and the bands stay until the early morning hours and dance to the tunes of DJ Basteln, who convinced us already at the Fever Creek Intermezzo with his skills.

After the long After-Show party, we dive into the second day. The club Kallash& with its living room atmosphere is perfect for to sit cuddled up in an armchair while listening to the music of D.Cooper and River of Gennargentu. The Berlin based D.Cooper is the first one on stage. His low Country Folk reminds on long car drives through fascinating landscapes. River of Gennargentu from Sardinia catches exactly this atmosphere. His Blues fascinates and captures the listener in a similar way. The audience sink in their chairs and drift away with him, in a beautiful world full of sound and poetry. A successful conclusion of the Fever Creek Festival 2015.
