Steve ist kein männlicher Solokünstler. Steve, das sind zwei Frauen aus Berlin, die in einer an The Kills und The White Stripes erinnernden Aufstellung mit E-Gitarre und Schlagzeug kraftvollen Rock bis Punk produzieren. Die Band steht noch am Anfang ihrer Karriere. Das Konzert beim Fever Creek Festival wird das erste sein! Musikalisch sind die Beiden aber schon länger unterwegs. Gitarristin Eva zum Beispiel – gebürtig aus Wien – ging in ihrer Heimat sowohl klassische Wege, sie spielte Coversongs, als auch experimentelle. Sie kombinierte unter anderem Livemusik mit einem Kurzfilm. Die Begeisterung für Film ist auch das, was die Frauen neben der Leidenschaft für Musik, am stärksten verbindet. Steffi, die zweite im Rock-Bunde, schlägt nicht nur die Drums, sondern schreibt auch Drehbücher und führt Regie.

Steve is not a male solo artist as you might think. Steve are two women from Berlin that produce a vigorous sound between Rock and Punk. With only an E-guitar and drums they recall performances of The Kills and The White Stripes. The two are at the very start of their career and the concert at the Fever Creek Festival will be their first gig together! However, they have been active in the music scene for a long time now. Eva, the guitarist that was born in Vienna, used to go a more classical path with her music in Austria: she was playing cover songs. But at the same time she tried more experimental set ups like the combination of live music and short films. As a matter of fact, films are another bond next to music between the two ladies. Bandmate Steffi doesn’t only play the drums, she also authors screenplays and directs movies.
