Acuario Cósmico

Argentinische Vibes im musikalischen Berliner Untergrund? Ja, auch das hat Berlin zu bieten. Acuario Cósmico wurde einst von Frontmann, Gitarristen und Komponisten Gonzalo Marinucci in seiner Heimat Argentinien gegründet. Im Jahre 2011 zog es diesen nach Europa, mit im Gepäck sein musikalisches Projekt Acuario Cósmico. Der Umzug nach Berlin in 2012 tat auch der Band gut. Hier nahm Acuario Cósmico neue Formen an und die Musiker Pablo Orrego, Bass und Gesang, sowie der Drummer Geraint Morton gesellten sich zu Gonzalo.

Die argentinischen Wurzeln der Band und der Berliner Einfluss zeigen sich insbesondere im Gesang. Mal sind die Songtexte in Spanisch, mal auf Deutsch oder Englisch. Manchmal wird einfach auch gar nicht gesungen, dann spricht allein der eingängige Sound der Band zum Publikum, der irgendwo zwischen Surf und Psychedelic liegt. Ihren Haupteinfluss sieht die Band in dem Rock´n´Roll der 60er und 70er, als Vorbilder für ihre Musik nennen sie nicht unbekannte Größen der Musikwelt wie The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Ventures, Frank Sinatra, Carlos, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors und The Sonics.

Nach den Alben „Nomade“, „Atención en el cielo!“ und „Delfos“ erscheint im Dezember 2018 die neue Platte „Die 10 neunen Planeten“ auf dem Label Blue Cat Music. Aufgenommen wurde das Album hauptsächlich im Bestensee Studio, ein kleiner Teil aber auch von Julian Moritz und Alex Richter in der Universität der Künste Berlin. Thematisch geht es in dem Album um die verschiedenen Wesen im Weltraum, auch autobiografische Bezüge sind auf der neuen Platte zu finden. Musikalisch versuchte Acuario Cósmico die Wurzeln des Surf Rocks zu erkunden und mit neuen Aufnahmetechniken und elektronischen Synthesizern zu kombinieren. Wir freuen uns auf das neue Album und auf einen gewohnt energiegeladenen Auftritt der drei beim FEVER CREEK meets PSYCH OUT Festival.

Acuario Cósmico
Argentinian vibes in Berlin’s musical underground? Yes, that too has Berlin to offer. Acuario Cósmico was once founded by frontman, guitarist and composer Gonzalo Marinucci, in his homeland Argentina. In 2011, he moved to Europe and with him his musical project Acuario Cósmico. The move to Berlin in 2012 did the band well too. Here Acuario Cósmico took shape and the musicians Pablo Orrego, bass and vocals, and the drummer Geraint Morton joined Gonzalo.

The Argentine roots of the band and the influence of Berlin are particularly evident in their lyrics. Sometimes they are in Spanish, from time to time in German or English. Or they have no lyrics at all, then the catchy sound of the band alone speaks to the audience, that lies somewhere in-between Surf and Psychedelic Rock. Their main influence is the Rock ‘n’ Roll of the 60s and 70s, as role models for their music they name well-known artists like The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Ventures, Frank Sinatra, Carlos, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors and The Sonics.

After their albums “Nomade”, “Atención en el cielo!” and “Delfos” the new record “The 10 Nine Planets” will be released in December 2018 on the label Blue Cat Music. The album was mainly recorded in Bestensee Studio, a small part was done by Julian Moritz and Alex Richter at the University of the Arts Berlin. Thematically, the album is about the different creatures in space, but also autobiographical references can be found on the new record. Musically, Acuario Cósmico explored the roots of surf rock and combined them with new recording techniques and electronic synthesizers. We are looking forward to the new album and to their usual energetic performance of the three at the FEVER CREEK meets PSYCH OUT Festival.
