Treffen sich ein Hesse und eine Deutsch-Irin in den Proberäumen ihrer Fachhochschule. Was passiert? Sie gründen eine Band mit Geige, Gitarre und viel Herz. Leonora Hesse verarbeiten in ihren Folk-Liedern die Liebe in all ihren Spielformen, von Zuckerwattenglücksmomenten bis nervenaufreibendem Gefühlshinundher. Und verpacken das in stimmungsvolle Bilder. What happens when a Hesse and a German-Irish girl meet in the rehearsal room of their college? They start a band with a violin, a guitar and a lot of heart. Love and all its facets is the basis for Leonora Hesse’s songs – from cotton candy happy moments to fraught sentimentalism. And they convert these burdens and blessings into atmospheric pictures. Magic & Naked bring out their “Inner Child”

Damit werden viele nicht rechnen: Romain, Elie, Léonard und Augustin von der Schweizer Band Magic & Naked sind gerade einmal 18 Jahre alt. Ihre Musik jedoch klingt viel reifer, als ihr Alter vermuten lässt: Sie erinnert an Woodstock, Hippies, Syd Barrett und Neil Young. Mit ihrem Album “Inner Child”, das im Rahmen eines Schulprojektes entstand, feierten sie bereits kleine Erfolge in ihrer Heimat – sie traten unter anderem beim Swiss Psych Fest 2014 auf, dem Ableger des berüchtigten Austin Psych Fest. Auf dem Fever Creek Festival am 30. August werden sie ihren ersten Deutschland-Gig spielen. Erfahrt mehr in unserem Porträt samt Hörbeispielen.

Many people don’t expect that. Romain, Elie, Léonard and Augustin from the Swiss band Magic & Naked are just 18 years old. However, their music sounds a lot more mature than her age suggests. It reminds the listener of Woodstock, Hippies, Syd Barrett and Neil Young. With the album “Inner Child”, which was created as part of a school project, the friends already celebrated small successes in their home. Among others they performed at the Swiss Psych Festival in May 2014, the offshoot of the infamous Austin Psych Fest. At the Fever Creek Festival the musicians will have their first German gig. Martha Rose: The Brighton-Berlin Connection

Wir lüften ein weiteres Geheimnis um das Line-up 2014: Nach KéPA und Canyon Spree wird auch Martha Rose am 30. August beim Fever Creek Festival auftreten. Die Singer/Songwriterin wurde 1987 in London geboren, wuchs aber in Brighton auf. In dem englischen Kurort sammelte sie erste Erfahrungen als Folk- und Countrymusikerin, bis sie voriges Jahr nach Berlin zog. Seither mischt sie die lokale Szene auf – solo wie in Kollaborationen mit anderen Künstlern. Erfahrt mehr über die Wahlberlinerin im ausführlichen Porträt samt Hörproben.

We are now revealing another mystery concerning the Line-up of 2014: After KéPA and Canyon Spree, Martha Rose will be performing at the Fever Creek Festival on August the 30st. The singer/songwriter was born 1987 in London but grew up in Brighton. In the English spa town she gathered her first experiences as a Folk and Country musician until last year when she moved to Berlin. Neue Woche, neues Bandglück: Wir freuen uns, dass Canyon Spree am 30. August auf dem Fever Creek Festival spielen werden. Die Berliner Garage Band ist international besetzt: Stéphanie (Gesang, Gitarre) kommt aus Frankreich, Renée (Gesang, Gitarre) aus Neuseeland, Katharina (Schlagzeug) aus Deutschland. Zusammengeführt haben sie das Berliner Nachtleben, die Liebe zu Black Sabbath – und Couchsurfing. Erfahrt mehr in unserem Porträt mit Hörbeispielen.

New week, new act: We are delighted to announce that Canyon Spree will be playing at the Fever Creek Festival on August the 30st. The Berlin based Garage band is an international fusion: Stéphanie (vocal/ guitar) comes from France, Renée (vocal/ guitar) from New Zealand, Katharina (drums) from Germany. Yuhey, unser Line-up nimmt schöne Formen an. Das wollen wir ab heute auch mit euch teilen. Der erste von fünf Acts ist KéPA. Der Franzose gehört mit zwei veröffentlichten EPs zu den Newcomern der internationalen Bluesszene. Seine Markenzeichen: eine silberne Resophonic-Gitarre und eine positive Lebenseinstellung. Neben der Musik lebt KéPA unter seinem bürgerlichen Namen Bastien Duverdier seine zweite Passion aus: Seit acht Jahren ist er Profi-Skateboarder. Erfahrt mehr im Porträt mit Hörbeispielen.

Hooray, our line-up is taking shape. Today we want to give you a little insight into it. The first of five acts is KéPA. The French artist is with his two EPs amongst the newcomers of the international Blues scene. His trademarks: a silver shimmering Resophonic guitar and a spirit of optimism.
